The Japanese beetle is probably the most devastating pest of urban landscape plants in Ontario. Ontario provides a favorable climate, large areas of turf and pasture grass for developing grubs, hundreds of species of plants on which adults could feed, and no effective natural enemies. The beetle thrives under these conditions and has steadily expanded its geographic. Currently, there are only 2 forms of control for Japanese Beetles. A Nematode treatment, applied to your lawn, twice a season (Spring and Mid-summer) and Japanese Beetle Traps that use a pheromone lure to entice the beetles to the traps, where they are then trapped inside.
Please contact our trained staff to book a Nematode treatment for the upcoming year, or stop by our retail store to purchase a trap.
